Nikhil Advani, filmmaker He was a generation older than me and a good friend. We did Patiala House and D-Day and we really hit it off. He was excited that he was getting the kind of roles considering at the time there weren’t roles stuff written for two-face like him. For me, it was just stuff worldly-wise to sit with him and have long conversations. We were scrutinizingly neighbours in Bandra, and we would meet very evening to yack and have long sessions well-nigh films, cricket and current scenarios. We’d have a drink once in a while too. He has been the best, and was known for his work, passion and craft, and it was inspiring considering we were a young hairdo and cast, yet he was the most jovial and most excited one.
